You may also be provided a health assessment or questionnaire to complete in advance of your visit. To cancel an appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance so we can make the appointment available to another patient.

Current patients can schedule appointments by phone, or use the MyChart patient portal or app to see available times.

If you are a patient currently using MyChart , you may be able to request a refill through the app or online portal. For prescriptions not available in MyChart, please make an appointment so a physician can evaluate if the medications need to be changed.

It could take up to business hours for a refill to be submitted. Our practices use an electronic health record system that allows for a seamless patient experience through improved communications, timeliness, patient information storage and portability.

This system, called MyChart , will allow you to view medications, allergies, health issues and recent visits.

New patients in our practices are asked to complete a medical release form before your appointment. The signed form gives us the ability to request medical records from other physician practices that you may have visited. This information provides our physicians with a more complete medical history.

To obtain or transfer detailed medical records to another practice, please contact the Medical Records Office at Our office may experience special hours for holidays or in cases of inclement weather.

In order to provide the best assessment and care for your health, we generally do not diagnose or prescribe treatment by telephone.

If you or a family member experience an emergency after hours, please call for assistance. Your call will automatically be routed to our answering service, which is available to assist you. Calls should only be made for health problems that cannot wait until normal business hours. It is our policy not to refill medicines or call in new prescriptions after hours. View their bios here. The program is approved for 6 residents per year and divided into 4 years of graduated responsibility. The PGY-1 year consists of various service rotations as well as extensive exposure to obstetrics. The remaining 3 years emphasize the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology and the recognized subspecialties. The Division of Gynecology at Carolinas Medical Center is focused on educating residents and medical students in ambulatory and surgical gynecology.

The division is involved in resident education across the entire spectrum from the operating room, to the ambulatory clinic, to labor and delivery and into the classroom. The first year urogynecology experience within the general gynecology rotation includes an introduction to the anatomy of pelvic support and continence, staging of prolapse with the POP-Q system and urodynamic testing and pelvic physiotherapy. The Generalists Faculty and the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division are responsible for the education and supervision of residents and medical students for the Obstetrics and High-Risk Obstetrics.

Carolinas Medical Center has approximately 7, deliveries per year and serves as the tertiary referral center for 9 surrounding counties. The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is composed of 5 board certified gynecologic oncologists, 4 of whom operate exclusively at Carolinas Medical Center. Our faculty members annually evaluate approximately 1, new patients and perform over 1, surgeries. This is done through interaction within a full-service REI clinical practice, formal didactic instruction and clinical and basic research.
