Uninstalling the software To remove the print driver and other software, try the following methods in order. If one method does not work, continue to the next one. The HP uninstaller program might be available on the product CD, depending on the product model. If you have the product CD readily available, try this option to quickly check whether you have the HP uninstaller, and then run it.

If the Uninstall option does not appear on the window that displays, continue to the next method to uninstall the software. Click Uninstall , and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Use the following information to determine which option to choose when you remove the software:.

Uninstall all HP products associated with this device. Select this option if you do not have another HP printer or All-in-One that might be sharing some software. Select this option if another HP printer or All-in-One shares some software, or if you only want to remove certain components that you don't use. Method two: Run the HP uninstaller from the Start menu program list. The HP uninstaller program might be available from your start menu, depending on the product model and type of installation you performed. Try the following option to quickly check whether you have the HP uninstaller, and then run it. Click Start , and then click All Programs. Click the HP or Hewlett Packard folder, and then click the folder for your product. The folder is labeled according the product series number.

If there is no folder for your product, continue to the next method to uninstall the software. Click Uninstall or Uninstall Software , then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Method three: Uninstall the software using the Windows Control Panel. Follow these steps to uninstall from the program list in the Windows Control Panel. A list of programs installed on your computer opens. Find your HP product driver in the list. The driver might not be listed by product name. For example:. If your product driver does not appear in the list of installed programs, skip to step 4 in this method to remove any other HP software that you don't need.
